Nissan Micra

Succeeding the huge success of Nissan Micra (known as Nissan March) in Japan, the Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan started a manufacturing plant to expand its operations in India with base in Chennai in 2010. The all new fourth generation Nissan Micra was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and was launched in the Indian Market in July 2010. After considering the success of Nissan Micra in India, Nissan has decided to launch a number of new models in the coming years like Nissan Murano, Nissan Qashqai, Nissan Pixo and Nissan ULC. Exterior

Toyota Etios Liva

Toyota started its operation in India in 1997 in a joint venture with Kirloskar group having its manufacturing facility at Bidadi, Karnataka. After this venture, there was no looking back for Toyota. After the immense success of Toyota Corolla, Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner, the Japanese auto manufacturer decided to launch its first Q class hatchback in India and tagged it Toyota Etios Liva. Skoda Fabia

After considering the overwhelming success of the Skoda Fabia in Europe, the Czech auto manufacturers decided to expand their market in South Asia by establishing Skoda Auto India Pvt. Ltd in 2001.  With its shared manufacturing plant (shared with Audi) at Shendra, located on the outskirts of Aurangabad and Volkswagen plant at Chakan, Skoda manufactured its many cars like the Skoda Octavia, Skoda Superb and Skoda Laura, which instantly gained popularity due to their premium looks, superior quality and sophisticated features. Ford Figo

After the success of Ford Ikon, Ford Fiesta and Ford Endeavour, Ford India Pvt. Ltd. increased the capacity of the manufacturing plant in Maraimalai Nagar, Tamil Nadu by investing $500 million, to start the production of its first ever hatchback, Ford Figo in India. The new American hatchback, launched in 2009 competes with its likes; Chevrolet Beat, Fiat Grande Punto and Hyundai i20. Ford Figo carries the same kinetic design as that of the Ford Mondeo and Ford Fiesta which have been designed and engineered by Ford Australia. Hyundai Verna Fluidic

Hyundai had launched Verna version 1.0 in 2006 in India but the car never managed to gain the expected popularity due to its poor design and lack of features.
